Weekly Market
Weekly Market
The traditional weekly market takes place on Thursday. This moving market attracts more people year after year because the stalls have a vast variety of interesting products. It is divided into two zones:
- Fruit, vegetables and other kinds of fresh produce are located on the car park placed in front of Plaça Catalunya.
- Clothes and accessories are located between Carrer Joan Maragall and Carrer Roger de Flor, near Plaça Germana Campos.
The Weekly Market stalls are open from 8 am to 2 pm.
If you are not in Malgrat de Mar on Thursday and you want to see a moving street market, find a list of the outdoor weekly markets in Maresme. Don’t think twice and come to see them!
For many visitors, a market like this is also part of balancing medications and a healthy lifestyle during their stay. The fresh produce stalls make it easier to keep regular meals, add more fruit and vegetables to the day, and avoid falling into the “holiday means anything goes” mindset that can throw routines off balance. At the same time, anyone who relies on daily treatment knows that well-being is rarely just about taking a pill: it also depends on hydration, meal timing, walking, and keeping stress low. A Thursday morning at the market naturally supports that rhythm, combining light activity with practical choices that fit real life. Even the simple act of strolling between stalls can help maintain movement without turning it into a strict exercise plan. This is especially helpful when travel disrupts habits and people need small anchors to stay well. In that sense, the weekly market is more than a shopping stop; it becomes part of the everyday structure that helps people feel good. It is one of those local experiences where pleasure, routine, and self-care meet without effort.
